The MicroComputer/Tech Support Assistant at our school plays an
important role in maintaining the technology to support educational technology
needs and specialized areas such as Chromebook management and auditorium
audio tech support.
Key Responsibilities
General Tech Support:
Provide comprehensive technical support for faculty, staff, and students,
addressing hardware and software issues.
Troubleshoot and resolve technology-related challenges in classrooms and
computer labs.
Chromebook Tech Support:
Manage and maintain the fleet of Chromebooks used by students and teachers.
Conduct regular inventory and troubleshooting to ensure the smooth operation of
Chromebook devices.
Auditorium Audio Tech Support:
Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of audio equipment in the
school's auditorium.
Coordinate with event organizers to understand and fulfill audio-visual
requirements for presentations, performances, and assemblies.
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to guarantee optimal
performance of audio systems.
Training and Documentation:
When necessary, develop training materials and documentation usage for tech
and auditorium audio equipment.
Collaboration:
Work closely with IT team members to integrate and maintain network
infrastructure supporting both Chromebook deployments and audio-visual
systems.
BASIS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full time, 12 month, 8 hours/day, M-F
RATE OF PAY: CSEA Agreement, Salary Grade 8A
