Job Description

JOB TITLE:  Food Service Helper (Temporary)

LOCATION:  Food Services Department

BASIS OF EMPLOYMENT:  4 hours/day; Temporary through end of December (possibility of becoming a probationary position) 

ANTICIPATED START:  As Soon as Practicable

RATE OF PAY:  CSEA Agreement, Grade A, $17.91/hour

Job Qualifications

This position involves assisting cooks in phases of food preparation.  Assist in preparation of salads and desserts; Cleans, washes and otherwise prepares vegetables & fruits for cooking; wash dishes; clean work areas & equipment; handles food and equipment in accordance with sanitary practices; may place food on trays according to menu and diet requirements; related work as required.
